Emuotang is situated on the southeastern edge of Hongyuan County, deep within Provincial Highway 209, about 82 kilometers from the county seat, at an altitude of around 3,200 meters. The vast grassland spanning over 30,000 acres is a sea of flowers. The scale and density of the flower fields are rare for high-altitude grassland regions, earning it the reputation among visitors as the "most beautiful grassland sea of flowers." Within the scenic area, colorful wildflowers—yellow, purple, white, red…—stretch as far as the eye can see across the rolling hills. The deep blue sky, towering snow-capped peaks, open grasslands, and endless sea of blooms blend harmoniously, creating a breathtaking sight. Here, you can simply roll down the car window to take in the views of the grassland, galloping horses, and grazing cattle and sheep; gaze upon the herders, incense smoke, and yurts; and admire the vast, ocean-like expanse of flowers. This is Hongyuan’s Emuotang—the place where 30,000 acres of flower blossoms come alive. People say this is nothing short of paradise on earth.

Location: Situated within Rangkou Township on the southeastern edge of Hongyuan County, at the 374KM mark of Provincial Highway 209. A side road leads 8 kilometers into the valley, accessible by all types of small vehicles. It is about 82 kilometers from the county seat and sits at an altitude of around 3,200 meters.

Climate: Features a plateau cold-temperate humid monsoon climate. The terrain consists of high mountain landscapes and high-altitude plains, forming a high-mountain gorge-type grassland.

Resource Highlights: From June 10 to June 30 each year, the grassland spanning over 30,000 acres transforms into a sea of flowers. The scale and density of the bloom are rare for high-altitude grassland regions.
