Zhazicheng

Zhazicheng is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Zhazicheng is located on Zhazishan Mountain, west of Zhengshankou Township in Dongpo District, and is accessible by car. It can be reached by driving through Duoyue Town and Zhengshankou Township, then continuing west for another 5 kilometers. There are various legends about Zhazicheng, among which the most representative one is: In the ninth year of the Xianfeng reign during the Qing Dynasty, Li Lan, leader of a peasant uprising from Yunnan, led his troops into Sichuan, causing an uproar throughout the province. Prior to this, wealthy households in Meishan, Qingbaijiang, and Pujian counties, fearing the peasant uprising, gathered armed forces and built a fortified mountain stronghold for defense. Today, this ancient castle built during the Qing Dynasty attracts many visitors. As a county-level cultural relics protection unit, it offers convenient facilities for dining, accommodation, leisure, and entertainment. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city and embraced by nature, Zhazicheng brings visitors a taste of rural charm and wild delight.
