Sansu Lake

The Sansu Lake Scenic Area is located in Chengu Village, Sansu Township, Dongpo District, approximately 35 kilometers southwest of the city center. Covering an area of about 8 square kilometers, it comprises attractions such as Sansu Lake, Sanfeng Mountain, the Old Tea Forest, Chengu New Village, and historical sites related to the life of the Three Sus—Su Xun, Su Shi, and Su Zhe—in their hometown.

The waters of Sansu Lake wind through secluded depths, frequented by egrets and cranes. Lush greenery blankets the lakeside hills, creating a picturesque and pleasant landscape. Sanfeng Mountain boasts majestic and striking peaks, and at its summit once stood the ancient Sanfeng Temple from the Tang Dynasty, a site where Su Dongpo studied in his youth. The tea produced on Sanfeng Mountain rivals that of Mengshan. The Ming Dynasty-era Old Tea Forest remains vibrant to this day.
