Yangping Ecological Homestead

Yangping Ecological Homestead is an agricultural sightseeing tourism area featuring dairy and tea industries. It was developed by the Hongya County Committee and County Government in accordance with the central government’s overall requirements for building a new socialist countryside — “developing production, ensuring prosperous living, fostering civilized rural culture, maintaining clean village appearance, and promoting democratic management.” The project also integrates with the county’s tourism industry development.

The homestead is situated just south of Hongya County and lies on the essential route for travelers heading from Chengdu to Mount Wawu. It consists of Yangping Village in Jiangjun Township, as well as Dinggou Village and Qinggangping Village in Zhige Town. Covering an area of 4 square kilometers, the site includes over 3,500 mu of grassland, more than 10,000 mu of tea plantations (serving as a raw material base for renowned domestic tea brands such as Zhuyeqing and Daoquan Tea), and a 500-mu dairy products industrial zone (New Hope Dairy). There are three large-scale modern dairy farms, including one operated by New Hope, housing over 3,000 cows. The homestead offers sightseeing centered around dairy and tea industries, and bases its tourism services on Sichuan-style farmhouse accommodations, with highlights including drinking fresh ecological milk, tasting organic tea, and enjoying farm-style meals.
