Shuangsha Qing Tombs Cluster

The Shuangsha Qing Tombs Cluster is a cultural heritage protection unit under Luzhou City.

The Shuangsha Qing Tombs Cluster (including the Zhang Shizhao Couple’s Tomb, the Shicameng Li Family Cemetery, the Li Shiquan Couple’s Tomb, and the Zuo Zhanxian Couple’s Tomb) is located in Gulin County and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

On December 9, 2010, it was designated as part of the Eighth Batch of Municipal-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units in Luzhou City (Official Letter of Luzhou Municipal Government [2010] No. 259).

(1) The Zhang Shizhao Couple’s Tomb is the burial site of Zhang Shizhao and his wife, Madam Li. The protected area and construction control zone are defined as follows: the tomb boundary serves as the baseline, extending 3 meters eastward toward the Gulin–Shuangsha Highway, and 5 meters outward on the south, west, and north sides, with a north–south length of 25 meters and an east–west width of 8 meters. The total protected and controlled area is approximately 200 square meters.

(2) The Shicameng Li Family Cemetery (comprising three tombs: M1 Li Du’s Tomb, M2 Li Yuandong’s Tomb, and M3 Li Shiyan’s Tomb) has a protected area and construction control zone defined as follows: the tomb boundary serves as the baseline, extending 5 meters outward on the northeast, southeast, southwest, and northwest sides, spanning 30 meters from southeast to northwest and 10 meters from southwest to northeast. The total protected and controlled area is approximately 300 square meters.

(3) The Li Shiquan Couple’s Tomb is the burial site of Li Shiquan and Madam Du. The protected area and construction control zone are defined as follows: using the cemetery wall boundary as the baseline, the area spans 16 meters from southeast to northwest and 16 meters from southwest to northeast. The total protected and controlled area is approximately 256 square meters.

(4) The Zuo Zhanxian Couple’s Tomb is a joint burial site for three individuals—Zuo Zhanxian, Madam Chen, and Madam Yu. The protected area and construction control zone are defined as follows: the tomb boundary serves as the baseline, extending 5 meters outward on the east, south, west, and north sides, with a north–south length of 35 meters and an east–west width of 10 meters. The total protected and controlled area is approximately 350 square meters.
