Yong'an Bridge on the Bridge

Yong'an Bridge on the Bridge, located to the west of Qiaoshang Village, Houpu Town, Xiangyuan County, also known as Double-Layered Bridge, is a single-span double-arch stone bridge. According to the Republican-era Xiangyuan County Annals, it was repaired and funded by Wang Wanqi in the late Qing Dynasty. The bridge features an upper and lower arch overlapping each other — the lower arch is built with sandstone facing in a longitudinal tied-arch style, while the upper arch is constructed with blue brick facing in a similar style, hence the name "Bridge on the Bridge." It runs east-west, with a bridge deck measuring 50 meters in length and 6.2 meters in width. On the north side of the bridge, there is an inscription stele from the 11th year of the Daoguang reign in the Qing Dynasty (1831) commemorating its renovation.
