Lezhi Cien Temple

Lezhi Cien Temple is a national AA-level tourist attraction and a cultural tourism destination.

Cien Temple is situated at the foot of Nantaipo in Sanli Office Area, Tianchi Town, south of the county town, approximately 1 kilometer from the city center. Nantaipo was originally called Dasuopo Mountain or Datianzhu Mountain and is regarded as the source ridge of the county.

The temple currently covers a built-up area of 1,500 square meters, featuring a Mahavira Hall, Jade Buddha Hall, Main & Guest Hall, Dining Hall, Guest Reception Hall, Abbot’s Room, and Kitchen. The structures follow the landform, rising and falling in elevation to present a magnificent and imposing vista. The main statues include those of Sakyamuni Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Manjushri, Samantabhadra, Guanyin, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and the Twelve Wisdom Kings, totaling dozens of figures. Additionally, there are six white marble Buddha statues, one of which—a Myanmar jade Guanyin—is 2 meters tall.

On the birthdays and festival days of various deities, the temple attracts large numbers of worshippers and tourists, making it a sacred place for promoting Buddhism and sightseeing.

Tianchi Subdistrict: In 2019, Tianchi Town and Fangsheng Township were both abolished, and Tianchi Subdistrict was established. The former administrative areas of Xianheguan Community, Beijiao Community, Xijiao Community, Wayagou Community, Huanghuayuan Village, Jinziyan Village, Jinsuiwan Village, Tuandian Village, Niulandian Village, Nanchongsi Village, Tianjiagou Village, Paibai Village, Xianglugou Village, Dalinsi Village, Xin Guanyin Village, Baoguo Temple Village, Lingquan Temple Village, Wangjiagou Village, and Mianhuawan Village from the original Tianchi Town, as well as Xinmiao Village and Baoding Village from the former Fangsheng Township, along with Anle Village, Qunle Village, Banban’ya Village, Dagumiao Village, Xujiabridge Village, Huanglingpu Village, Liuzhiya Village from the former Tongjia Town, have all been incorporated into Tianchi… More details on Tianchi Subdistrict ++
