The Tomb of Jiang Gong · Temple of Jiang Xiao is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Tomb of Jiang Gong was built during the Ming Dynasty by the people of Xiaquan in memory of a filial son. Its construction continued until 1966, after which it was restored.

The Temple of Jiang Xiao is located on the left side of the provincial-level Longhu Sheli Pagoda in Xiaquan Ancient Town, Deyang (now within the premises of Xiaquan Normal School), and is also known by various names such as Jiang Shi Temple, Jiang Gong Shrine, Xiaogan Temple, Temple of the Filial Son, and Xiaogan Shrine.

According to historical records, the Temple of Jiang Xiao featured flying eaves and bracket arms, carved wooden window lattices, and an imposingly solemn appearance. The temple complex had three gates and three courtyards, with a front hallway preceding the main hall. On either side of the hallway were release ponds for live animals, and further ahead stood a grand stone gatehouse. The gatehouse bore two stone plaques: one inscribed vertically with “Temple of Jiang Xiao,” and the other horizontally with “Renowned Land of the Leaping Carp.” On the back of the gatehouse was an inscribed plaque reading “Three Filial Acts in One Family.” Inside the main hall were statues of Jiang Pang and his wife, rendered with dignified expressions and lifelike detail. The left wing of the main hall housed the An’an Hall, and the right wing held the Lin’gu Hall. Behind the main hall was the Ancestral Hall, dedicated to the parents of Jiang Shi, slightly longer than the main hall. Stone stelae stood densely between the two halls, which were also surrounded by ancient cypresses. Moreover, many colorful painted sculptures and reliefs could be found among the halls, varying in form, resplendent in gold and colors, and truly magnificent. Today, only the Jiang Gong Hall and the adjacent left and right wing rooms (originally the Lin’gu and An’an Halls) remain, and the cultural relics are scattered across various locations.

1. Temple of Jiang Xiao

Protected Area: 20 meters east of the eastern edge of the main hall, 35 meters south of the southern edge of the main hall, 20 meters west of the western edge of the main hall, and 35 meters north of the northern edge of the main hall.

Construction Control Zone: 50 meters east, 50 meters south, 15 meters west, and 30 meters north of the protected area.

2. Tomb of Jiang Gong

Protected Area: East to the ancient enclosure wall, south to the mountain gate, west to 16 meters beyond the western edge of the Pang Family Tomb (western enclosure wall), and north to 20 meters beyond the northern edge of the Tomb of Lady Jiang.

Construction Control Zone: 50 meters east, 20 meters south, 10 meters west, and 30 meters north of the protected area.
