Guanyin Temple in Dongzhou Village is located in Dongzhou Village, Houpu Town, Xiangyuan County. It faces south and has a single-courtyard layout, measuring 19 meters in width from east to west and 20 meters in length from north to south, covering an area of 380 square meters. The exact date of its establishment is unknown. According to inscriptions on steles, it was renovated in the 14th year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1749) and the 14th year of the Republic of China (1925). The existing structures date back to the Qing and Republican periods. Along the central axis are the mountain gate (a reverse-facing theater stage) and the main hall; on both sides are the east and west corridors, east and west side halls, and east and west wing rooms. The main hall is built on a 0.75-meter-high sandstone platform, with a three-bay width, six-rafter depth, and a seven-purlin front-corridor structure. It features a single-eave hip-and-gable roof, with intercolumnar brackets in the form of dougong (bracket sets), and exquisitely carved beams and painted rafters. The interior is adorned with murals.
