The township is a natural oxygen bar, filled with birdsong and floral scents, and is known for its outstanding people. Sichuan Benwei Agricultural Industry Co., Ltd. has leased 10,000 acres of land to establish a modern citrus orchard, developing a three-dimensional circular economy of "pigs-biogas-fruits-medicinal herbs," and constructing a breeding base for "five-black green-shell laying hens" in Heli Village. Xitou sweet oranges and Xitou river fish are well-known brands not only in Gaoping District but also across Sichuan Province. Xitou Township has a long history of citrus cultivation and once achieved remarkable success—the Maguoshan oranges from the township were nationally renowned in the 1970s and 1980s.
