Introduction to Nanchong Yuping Park Nanchong Yuping Park is located at No. 6 Yuping Road, West Hill, Nanchong City. The park features attractions such as Lansheng Tower and the Ten Thousand Volumes Tower. The Ten Thousand Volumes Tower was where Chen Shou, the famous Western Jin historian and author of *Records of the Three Kingdoms*, studied in his youth.

The Ten Thousand Volumes Tower was originally built during the Jianxing period (222–237 AD) of the Shu Han state in the Three Kingdoms era. According to ancient texts: “To the west of Nanchong city lies Guo Mountain, where this magnificent tower of countless volumes stands.” Built against the cliffs, it is a three-tiered wooden and stone structure with soaring eaves and decorative brackets, exuding grandeur. By the Tang Dynasty, the Sweet Dew Temple had been added in front of the tower, forming a complex of buildings. Lush ancient trees, dense bamboo groves, and clear springs flowing nearby create a picturesque natural landscape. Due to years of neglect, the tower was destroyed in the 1960s.
