Constellation Courtyard

Constellation Courtyard (Former Residence of Liu Xiang) is located within the core protected area of the ancient city of Langzhong, a national historical and cultural city and an Outstanding Tourism City of China in Sichuan Province. It is a reconstructed two-courtyard, bead-string-style residential compound built in memory of Liu Xiang, an outstanding ancient Chinese astronomer, calendar expert, and China’s “Old Man of Spring Festival.” Facing south, the courtyard covers an area of about 400 square meters, with 16 rooms, all constructed with a traditional wooden mortise-and-tenon structure, featuring carved windows and doors and grey-tiled roofs. It officially opened to the public on January 29, 2006 (the first day of the Lunar New Year in the Year of the Dog) for visitors to tour and pay their respects.
