Yong'an Temple in Langzhong is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Yong'an Temple in Langzhong is situated on Huangni Gang, five li east of Shuiguan Town in Langzhong City (now Yong'an Temple Village, Shuiguan Town), approximately 30 kilometers from Langzhong. Nestled among surrounding mountains, Huangni Gang is found at the tail of Zhuge Mountain in the Dayi Mountain Range, an offshoot of the Daba Mountains. Its form resembles the head of a yellow dragon, and Yong'an Temple is precisely built on the dragon’s head. The Longtan River meanders around the temple, while behind it, the rocks rise as if forming a dragon’s brow. One rock, about ten feet long, juts out like a tongue directly toward the Longtan River—an unusual sight. Across the river stands a high mountain called Guanzhi Mountain. The peak of this mountain faces the temple, and when morning sunlight and evening glow interplay, it looks like a golden monk’s hat.

Covering an area of 10,000 square meters with a built-up area of 1,700 square meters, the existing structures at Yong'an Temple consist of a complex of ancient buildings from the Yuan and Qing dynasties, featuring a double-eaved hanging gable roof style. All architectural elements of the temple—including construction, ornamentation, stone carving, wood carving, clay sculpture, and painting—are executed at the highest level of craftsmanship, making the ensemble superior even to the Yongle Palace in Shaanxi and the Feilai Hall in Mount Emei. Currently, surviving ancient structures include the Guanyin Tower, the Main Hall, the West Wing Side Hall, the Heavenly King Hall, and the original mountain gate of Yong'an Chan Monastery.

Protected Area: The boundary is defined as 40 meters south of the mountain gate along the edge of the playground to the south, 30 meters north of the rear eaves foundation wall of the Main Hall to the north, and along the natural terrace foothills to the east and west.

Construction Control Zone: The boundary extends 100 meters outward from the protected area on the east, south, and west sides, and reaches down to Xiangtanzi River below the slope to the north.
