Folk Custom Hall

The Folk Custom Hall is a cultural tourism attraction.

Located at No. 50 Wumiao Street in the ancient city, built during the Qing Dynasty, facing south with a north-facing orientation, this two-courtyard quadrangle covers a construction area of 1,200 square meters. Originally the residence of Tian Fushun, a prominent vinegar brewer, it is now the Langzhong Folk Custom Hall, known as the “No. 1 Folk Culture Park in Northern Sichuan.” The hall features performances and displays of traditional Langzhong folk arts, including Nuo drama, Bayu dance, rammed-earth songs, money stick dances, Northern Sichuan wedding customs, Northern Sichuan shadow puppetry, Northern Sichuan farming culture, and well-worship water-drawing rituals, showcasing rich local folk culture. In the evening, the Folk Custom Hall presents its grand finale — the large-scale song and dance performance “Ancient Rhythms and Heritage,” divided into three acts: “Prayers for Blessings,” “Local Charms,” and “Wedding Customs,” highlighting the most essential elements of Northern Sichuan’s folk traditions.
