Langzhong Museum is a patriotic education base.

Langzhong Museum is located at No. 11 Xuedao Street, Langzhong City. Its architectural design draws inspiration from traditional dwellings in the ancient city, reflecting the cultural characteristics of historic architecture. It covers a site area of 8,029 square meters, with a total construction area of 2,964 square meters and an exhibition area of 1,300 square meters. The display arrangement was completed on August 31, 2012, and the museum is open to the public free of charge. It integrates collection, preservation, exhibition, research, and education, serving as a comprehensive regional museum.

The museum currently houses a collection of over 5,000 cultural relics and specimens, including 1,029 precious relics of Grade III or above and 35 national Grade I relics. These include bronze artifacts from the Ba culture such as the Spring and Autumn Period tiger-patterned bronze battle-axe, pottery figurines from the Han and Six Dynasties periods, tricolor pottery figurines from the Song Dynasty, high-relief brick carvings from the Song Dynasty, and exquisite ceramics from various periods including the Han, Six Dynasties, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, all of which showcase strong local characteristics. They serve as tangible evidence of Langzhong’s splendid historical culture through the ages. The 1,300-square-meter exhibition space features a permanent display themed “Langyuan’s Treasures Through the Ages,” with five thematic sections: Traces of Antiquity, Legacy of Cast Gold, Relics from Ancient Kilns, Urban Evolution, and Folk Customs. Over 800 cultural relics and specimens are exhibited, comprehensively showcasing Langzhong’s long history, the evolution of the millennia-old city, and its cultural heritage. It serves as an important patriotic education base for local youth and a key window for external exchange.
