The Panshi Moon Lake Tourist Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Panshi Moon Lake Tourist Area is located in Panshi Town, Tongchuan District. It is a key tourism development project invested in by Sichuan Bozhi Ecological Agriculture Development Co., Ltd., and is an important part of Tongchuan District’s strategy to implement the “Dual-Core, Dual-Belt, Six-Zone” plan by establishing an urban agricultural experience zone in Panshi. The scenic area spans 12,000 mu and primarily includes amusement facilities, as well as supporting amenities such as offices, dining, and hotels. It is situated along both banks of the Moon River section in Panshi and connects to the Panshi section of National Highway G542 (Dazhou–Kaijiang Road). It is also close to the Panshi exits of the Dazhou–Wanzhou and Dazhou–Yingshan expressways, approximately 12 kilometers from the city center. The area boasts mountainous landscapes and water views, fresh air, and beautiful scenery.

The park is primarily positioned to offer rural leisure vacations, tourism and cultural sightseeing, folk culture displays, dining and tea experiences, large-scale amusement activities, and social elderly care services. It provides service offerings such as conferences, business events, wedding and birthday celebrations, amusement, and outdoor sports, making it an ideal destination for residents of Dazhou to enjoy a slower pace of life and breathe fresher air. Since its opening in May 2015, the area has successfully hosted events such as the Chrysanthemum Festival, Dream Light Festival, and Royal Circus Festival, welcoming 500,000 visitors.

It is reported that in recent years, Tongchuan District has continuously increased investment in the construction of tourism infrastructure at scenic spots rich in tourism resources, further optimizing the visiting environment within the scenic areas. Regarding tourism service supervision, the district has focused on scenic area developers and enterprises to enhance service standards and improve the tourism service system. In implementing these standards, the district has emphasized compliance with tourism service requirements and achieved notable results in demonstration projects.

Moving forward, the district will focus on the six essential elements of tourism—food, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment—by continuously improving tourism infrastructure and supporting facilities. The goal is to elevate the overall quality of tourism in the scenic areas, aiming to establish Tongchuan District as a new driving force in “all-for-one tourism” within 3 to 5 years.
