Lotus Lake Scenic Area

“Lotus Lake” is said to have been named after a stone that emitted lotus blossoms. It is located 10 kilometers from Dazhou City. In late 1976, a reservoir was built here taking advantage of the mountainous terrain, covering an area of 1,400 acres. In the autumn of 1987, the reservoir was turned into “Lotus Lake Park.” By the lakeside, rolling peaks stretch out, blending water and sky in one hue, with lush green hills veiled in soft blue mist and varied, majestic forms. The park’s tourism facilities have gradually been improved, with a conference center such as the Lotus Lake Mountain Villa built by the lake, forming a multifunctional leisure destination integrating tourism, entertainment, dining, and fishing.

Lotus Lake, located in the northwest corner of Tongchuan District, is a scenic area centered around the Shilianhua Reservoir (i.e., Lotus Lake). The park’s tourism facilities have gradually been improved, with a conference center such as the Lotus Lake Mountain Villa built by the lake, forming a multifunctional leisure destination integrating tourism, entertainment, dining, and fishing. Blessed with beautiful mountains and clear waters, a pleasant environment, and fresh air, it is an ideal spot for Dazhou residents to relax, travel, and vacation, serving as the city’s backyard garden and a “natural oxygen bar.” A “Peach Blossom Festival” is held here every March.
