The former residence of General Zhang Aiping (Zhang Aiping's Former Home) is a Sichuan Provincial-level Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism attraction.

Located near the Luojiang entry of the Dazhou–Chongqing Expressway, the former residence of General Zhang Aiping has become an important patriotic education base. Dazhou is a land of outstanding people and heroes, especially in Luojiang Town, Tongchuan District. "Trees have roots, and water has sources." General Zhang Aiping’s former home is in Gaoshi Village, Luojiang Town. His ancestors were a prominent local family as early as the late Southern Song Dynasty. To the north of Beiwai Town, by the Mingyue Dragon King Pool in Qinggang Village, lies the tomb of a Ming Dynasty general—Mingwei General Zhang Yilong, an early pillar of the nation cultivated by the Zhang family. Zhang Aiping rose to the positions of Vice Premier, State Councilor, and Minister of Defense, while his younger brother, Zhang Canming, served as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Procurator-General of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate. Of particular note is Zhang Canming’s role in overseeing the Sino-British negotiations on the Hong Kong issue during his tenure as Vice Minister, contributing to China’s resumption of sovereignty over Hong Kong.
