Redberry Homestead

Redberry Homestead is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Redberry Homestead is a rural tourism destination located in Tuanjie Village, Xingsheng Township, Xichang City, covering an area of over 90 acres with a total investment of 8.6 million yuan. It opened for business in 2012 and is a production-oriented eco-farm integrating agricultural production, leisure sightseeing, catering, and entertainment. The homestead is divided into three main areas: the first is the ecological planting zone, covering a total of 53 acres, which includes: 20 acres of strawberries, 21 acres of figs, 2 acres of seedless roxburgh rose, and 10 acres of green vegetables. The second is the dining and entertainment zone, covering nearly 5 acres, and featuring one large and one small banquet hall, 13 leisure private rooms, and the capacity to accommodate 800–1,000 visitors per day. The third is the leisure and recreation zone, spanning approximately 15 acres, including a landscaped garden area, a fishing zone, and a large parking lot of nearly 5 acres. In addition, there is another 13-acre area that has been acquired but is awaiting development.

In recent years, with the growth of rural tourism in Xingsheng Township, the homestead has welcomed nearly 80,000 visitors annually from cities such as Xichang, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Kunming. Guests participate in fun farm work experiences, fruit and vegetable picking, sapling training, banquet hosting, and other activities—allowing urban dwellers to get close to nature, enjoy a peaceful retreat, and experience uniquely charming rural fun. This has significantly increased the homestead’s revenue, reaching over 4 million yuan in annual income in 2016.

By comparing against the scoring criteria and assessing the current status, we estimate that the homestead can currently score 480 points. Through improvements such as upgrading the ecological parking lot, constructing a visitor center, setting up a medical clinic, renovating existing restrooms, establishing shopping spots, and enhancing overall scenic development, we aim to increase the score to over 600 points and strive to reach 750 points.
