Baihua Shen'gou Scenic Area

Baihua Shen'gou Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The "Baihua Shen'gou" scenic area is built upon the Tea Horse Road culture of Madao Town, adheres to local consumption standards, follows common consumer behavior patterns, introduces entertainment and various outdoor adventure activities, utilizes electronic payment systems, and combines dining, lodging, transport, and sightseeing into one comprehensive wellness tourism hub.

Located to the west of the national-level scenic spot Lushan Mountain, Madao Town serves as a connecting route between Lushan and Qionghai, enjoying exceptionally favorable conditions for tourism development. As a provincial pilot small town and an advanced unit in rural construction, since November 7, 2017, the town has undertaken the development of the Baihua Shen'gou 3A-level scenic area. Efforts have included creating a tourism zone plan, continuously organizing tourist activities, establishing an educational base for the spirit of the Chengdu-Kunming Railway, increasing investment in tourism infrastructure, and actively working toward scenic area accreditation. To date, over 21 million yuan has been invested to renovate and improve a 4.5-kilometer scenic loop, implement slope irrigation projects, and convert sloped farmland in Group 3 of Madao Village and Group 3 of Weiqiang Village into terraced fields. More than 20 types of flowering plants, ornamental trees, and red-leaf poplars have been planted along the scenic routes and roadsides. Eight wooden cabins and ten pavilions have been constructed, along with an eco-friendly parking lot and a visitor center. The "Baihua Shen'gou" Tourism Cooperative has been established to gradually boost collective economic income, and eight startup companies have been introduced to promote and drive the development of the scenic area.
