Shihao Huaba Grassland

Huaba Grassland is located among the mountains between southern Chongqing and northern Guizhou. It lies within the Huaba Mountain Range at the junction of Shihao Town in Qijiang District, Chongqing, and Yelang Town, Tianping Township, and Xinzhan Town in Tongzi County, Guizhou Province. The area sits at an altitude of around 1,400–1,800 meters, with the highest peak of Huaba Mountain, Eagle Beak, reaching 1,848 meters, making it the tallest point in Qijiang District. It is part of the central section of the Loushan Mountain Range, offering a cool and pleasant climate in summer.

Huaba is divided into Greater Huaba and Lesser Huaba. The mountaintop plateau spans nearly 20,000 mu (approximately 1,333 hectares), surrounded by peaks. Between the mountains, springs gush forth, forming meandering streams that flow across the plains before disappearing into deep mountain caves. The plateau is covered with mixed woods, lush grass, and encircled by green waters, with flowers blooming in all four seasons, offering ever-changing landscapes throughout spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Tectonic movements have created extensive karst formations, with towering stone peaks, basins, sinkholes, vertical shafts, blind valleys, as well as well-developed underground rivers and caves. These features shape the landscape into eagle-like peaks and beast-shaped rocks—truly nature's masterpiece, with every peak worthy of a painting, presenting beautiful mountain-water scenes from any angle.

Surrounded by verdant peaks, Huaba Grassland is near scenic spots such as Eagle Rock, Shuangguan Mountain, Huopeng Cave, Sedan Chair Peak, Huoshi Plateau, Huodi Bay, and Fireburn Ridge, making it an ideal destination for lung-cleansing wellness retreats, leisure vacations, and summer escapes.
