Qijiang Riverside Scenery

The tranquil Qijiang River glimmers with emerald waves. A boat ride offers breathtaking views and a refreshing experience. The riverbanks are illuminated with dazzling lights. The Qijiang Riverside Ten-Mile Integrity Culture Corridor is the first integrity education demonstration base in Qijiang District. The corridor starts from the ferry terminal at Qijiang Railway Station in the south, extends westward along both banks of the Qijiang River, and reaches Qijiang High School, spanning approximately five kilometers in total. It features over 80 uniquely shaped stone sculptures engraved with classic integrity mottos and maxims, such as "The road ahead is long; I shall search high and low" from Qu Yuan’s “Li Sao,” and Wang Yunsheng’s "Diligence is the path up the mountain of books; hard work is the boat across the sea of learning." There is also a nearly 97-meter-long Integrity Story Wall composed of nine classic tales, including “The Hanging Fish Prefect,” “Wang Ao Scolds His Wife to Her Face,” and “Xiao He Refuses a Lavish Mansion.” Additionally, there are over 100 innovative and distinctive integrity-themed woodblock prints and cartoons created in the style of farmer paintings that showcase integrity culture. Furthermore, there is a massive 400-meter-long relief mural titled “Ode to Qijiang” that depicts chapters of Qijiang’s history. These thoughtfully arranged and exquisitely designed segments of the integrity culture corridor serve as an important medium for promoting integrity culture.
