The Site of Fertility Worship in Zhongfeng is a cultural tourism attraction.

The fertility worship site is located in Zhongfeng Town, Qijiang, about 44 kilometers from downtown Qijiang. It borders Guizhou Province to the south and Jiangjin City to the west. Accessible via the Chongqing–Yuzhuan Expressway to Qijiang, then continuing along the Qijiang–Simianshan Highway, it is a scenic tourist area that combines both cultural and natural attractions. Zhongfeng was once a place where the ancient Bo people lived and thrived. Along the ancient post road beside the Qingxi River, there remain thousands of stone carvings and sculptures of the male genitalia left by ancestors seeking fertility and blessings. The inscriptions on the stone bases, including reign marks such as Xianfeng, Tongzhi, Guangxu, and phrases expressing fulfilled fertility wishes, are clearly visible. These carvings are renowned across China and even globally for their grandeur, sturdiness, magnificence, realism, rarity, and uniqueness. The male genital stone sculptures vary in height and thickness, with the tallest reaching nearly 4 meters and the thickest having a diameter of about 30 centimeters. Near Lingying Rock in Zhongfeng, there are approximately 3,000 male genital stone carvings and sculptures, along with the bustling Lingying Temple. On nearly a hundred Han Dynasty cliff tombs by the Qingxi River, carvings of horses, fish, human figures, and more depict important aspects of ancient Ba culture. The old street of Zhongfeng Temple was first built during the Qing Dynasty’s Qianlong era, and its traditional architecture remains well-preserved.
