Sanjiang Cherry Base

The villages of Zhaogui and Fuxing in Sanjiang Subdistrict have a centuries-old tradition of cherry cultivation, with over 4,600 acres of cherry orchards and more than 80,000 cherry trees. The largest cherry tree has a trunk diameter of over 30 centimeters and stands more than 10 meters tall. Early April each year is the best time to pick cherries, when bright red cherries hang among lush green leaves, making for an incredibly tempting sight.

Route:

Take G75 Chongqing-Qianjiang Expressway and exit at Gujianshan Station – turn onto the Gujian Branch Road of National Highway 210 in Qijiang (Industrial Park) – proceed to Gujianchang – take the left fork past Tongguping – arrive at Zhaogui Village (the core cherry-picking area). The entire route is paved with concrete and accessible to all cars.
