In 2019, the former site of the Qijiang Branch of the Communist Party of China was designated as part of the third batch of Chongqing Municipal Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government.

Gunan Subdistrict: Established in December 2007, Gunan Subdistrict covers an area of 94.43 square kilometers and governs 11 villages and 12 communities. It has a registered population of 84,000 and a resident population of 109,000. The subdistrict houses 12 internal departments, centers, and offices, with 104 government employees.
