The Wanzhou Grand Waterfall Cluster Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.
The Wanzhou Grand Waterfall Cluster spans 151 meters in width and 64.5 meters in height, with a waterfall area of 9,739.5 square meters. It is a municipal-level scenic spot in Chongqing. Located within Wanzhou District, it is 30 kilometers from the city center and covers an area of 60.13 square kilometers.
The Wanzhou Grand Waterfall Cluster boasts lush mountains, clear waters, broad waterfalls, mysterious caves, serene pools, vast lakes, and beautiful rainbows. The 1,600-square-meter Water Curtain Cave beneath the waterfall can greatly spark your imagination. Inside the over 7,000-square-meter Qinglong Cave, you’ll be amazed by the naturally formed “Heavenly Painted Wall.”
The Wanzhou Grand Waterfall Cluster is home to the world-renowned “No. 1 Waterfall in Asia”—the Wanzhou Grand Waterfall. With its earth-shaking, awe-inspiring grandeur, its unique landscape that draws all eyes like stars surrounding the moon, and its popular folk legends, it has captured worldwide attention.
The Wanzhou Grand Waterfall Cluster is a land of outstanding people and beautiful scenery. It nurtured Gan Ning, a great general of the Eastern Wu during the Three Kingdoms period, and gave birth to He Qifang, a world-famous modern poet, essayist, and literary theorist.
