Chiling Fishing Village

Located in Yingzhou between Qingshui Bay and Tufu Bay, Chiling Fishing Village is a settlement of the Tanka fishing community. Though it has not an inch of farmland, this small village that lives off the sea is rich and beautiful. With its excellent natural conditions and unique Tanka-style village charm, the "Chiling Scenic Area" has become widely known, even gaining some fame within the Greater Sanya scenic circle. Moreover, Chiling still retains its distinctive Tanka cultural features: ancient houses adorned with painted beams and carved rafters, the Dragon King Temple bustling with incense, and even a well-equipped nursing home and clinic. The village boasts a simple and honest folkway—groups of local women weaving nets under a "century-old tamarind tree," babies sleeping soundly in fishing net cradles, and even the villagers wearing necklaces handcrafted from fossilized seashells, presenting a scene of serene and idyllic isolation. After visiting so many "prosperous" tourist spots, returning to such a beautiful, natural little village often brings back memories of "home" and the blue skies and green waters of childhood.
