Located 30 kilometers south of Wanning County. It covers a total area of 24 square kilometers, surrounded by sea on three sides and connected to the mainland on one side. It stretches 8.7 kilometers from southeast to northwest and is 2.7 kilometers wide from northwest to southeast. It lies against Niubiao Ridge to the east, faces the South China Sea to the south, borders Laoyehai Harbor to the west, and looks toward Dong’ao Port to the north. It combines the elegance of water with the grandeur of mountains. Except for Niubiao Ridge in the eastern part, which stands at an elevation of 218 meters, the rest of the terrain is flat. The peninsula faces the vast South China Sea, enjoys abundant rainfall, and is swept by southeast winds all year round. With an average annual temperature of 27°C, the climate is mild and moist. It remains covered in green foliage throughout the year, with shimmering waves and scenic beauty adding to its pristine environment and fresh air. From a distance, apart from Niubiao Ridge, the entire peninsula appears silvery white. There are beautiful bays here, with long, soft, white sandy beaches stretching toward the distant Gangmen Harbor. Currently, eight springs have been discovered on the island. The most remarkable features of Shenzhou Peninsula are its uniquely shaped rocks. Rocky islets just dozens of meters from the shore are masterpieces of nature’s artistry. There’s Rooster Rock, Fishing Rock, Fish-Watching Rock, Turtle Rock, and more—each transforming with the tides. The bays of Shenzhou Peninsula are set against gentle blue waters with soft, pleasant outlines, wide stretches of white sand, and are further enhanced by the presence of peculiar rocks, making the scenery exceptionally enchanting. The back of the peninsula is a calm inner sea with a winding coastline that varies in width. Lush coastal vegetation reflects in the water, creating a scene akin to a fairyland. Along the shallow shoreline, foamy waves wash over mottled seashells; come autumn, the fishing grounds come alive. Fishing boats shuttle to and fro, nets form clouds above the beach, and as they’re hauled in, lively fish and shrimp glisten silver in the sunlight. In the deep sea beyond—groups of fishing boats chase after mackerel, snapper, hairtail, squid, and more. Watching the bustling activity of the fishing grounds is a thrilling delight. This picturesque paradise is currently under accelerated development. A 13-kilometer tourist highway connecting Wanning County to the peninsula broke ground in early 1994. It will become a large-scale international club integrating tourism, vacationing, recuperation, and conference facilities.
