Bali Village

Bali Village is themed around the culture of returned overseas Chinese from Xinglong, showcasing their life after returning to China through the "charm," "customs," "scenery," and "cuisine" of Southeast Asia. It is a scenic area dedicated to returned overseas Chinese culture.

The village is divided into five functional areas. The Southeast Asian Culture Museum provides a detailed account of the return of overseas Chinese to China through photos and text, comprehensively displaying the 60-plus years of development and construction history of the Xinglong Overseas Chinese Farm.

The Returned Overseas Chinese Living Area recreates authentic scenes of Malaysian returned overseas Chinese frying coffee, Indonesian returned overseas Chinese baking thin pancakes, and Vietnamese returned overseas Chinese making coconut sugar, using three representative homes from different eras (a thatched house of 1950s Malaysian returnees, a brick house of 1960s Indonesian returnees, and a stone house of 1970s Vietnamese returnees), along with hands-on experiences at workshops from their respective countries of residence.

The Southeast Asian Style Street features a stage with Southeast Asian characteristics built on the景区’s Huaguo Mountain. Visitors can enjoy interactive performances by veteran returned overseas Chinese through singing, dancing, and music, listen to lively tunes, watch captivating dances, wear colorful traditional outfits, sample local snacks, and experience exotic cultures.

The Returned Overseas Chinese Roots Museum repurposes an existing root art gallery to tell the heartfelt stories of the bond between returned overseas Chinese and Xinglong. It integrates root art displays with the development and construction of the Xinglong Overseas Chinese Farm, awakening environmental awareness and the importance of protecting greenery.

In the Product Experience Area, unique "veteran returned overseas Chinese" series products with a Southern flair are sold, rooted in Southeast Asian culture and cuisine—“taste the flavors of the South, experience the charm of Southeast Asia.”
