Wenchang Bamen Bay Mangrove Forest

Wenchang Bamen Bay Mangrove Forest is situated at the confluence of eight rivers of varying sizes—including the Yuyu River, Wenjiao River, and Hengshan River—on the north side of Qinglan Port. The mangrove forest centers on the tidal flats around the bay and extends several kilometers upstream along rivers such as the Wenchang River and Wenjiao River. It encompasses an area of 30,000 mu across six towns bordering Bamen Bay: Wencheng, Qinglan, Tuwan, Dongge, Dongjiao, and Wenjiao. Together with Dongzhai Port Mangrove Forest, Bamen Bay Mangrove Forest is one of Hainan Province’s two renowned mangrove landscapes, often referred to as the "marine forest park." The Bamen Bay Mangrove Forest currently hosts 18 families and 30 species of mangrove trees.

Hainan Wenchang
