Fengjia Bay

Fengjia Bay (Sangengzhi) is located on the seashore of Fengjia Bay in Huiwen Town, Wenchang City, about 30 kilometers from Wencheng Town. It is a small hill about 50 meters high, surrounded by sea on three sides, covered with lush vines and wild trees, with winding paths leading to the top. From the summit, you can enjoy a full view of the sunrise over the South China Sea and the sunset among the coconut groves. Along the three seaward sides at the base of the hill, there is a semicircular stretch of rocky beach over 200 meters long.

The gaps between the rocks are filled with clear seawater, where fish can be seen swimming and small crabs crawling onto the rocks to sunbathe. Visitors can walk across the rocks just one or two meters from the shore, crouch to watch the fish, stand and gaze at the sea, or sit and fish—all without getting their feet wet or being splashed by waves, offering a unique experience.

To the northeast of the hill lies Fengjia Bay, a kilometer-long beach with rolling waves. Here, the sand is white, soft, and the water is shallow with a wide shallows area—within 100 meters from the shore, the water doesn’t reach above the head, and within 200 meters, the depth does not exceed 2 meters. The sea is usually calm, bathed in year-round sunshine with pleasant water temperatures. The long, broad shoreline, shaded by dense coconut trees and casuarina forests, serves as nature’s “sun umbrellas” for visitors in summer.

Located southeast of Yandui Market in Huiwen Town, Wenchang County, about 26 kilometers from Wencheng County Town and 40 kilometers from Qionghai City, close to the Haikou–Wencheng–Jiayi highway trunk line

Transportation Guide:

Take an intercity express bus from Haikou to Wenchang, then transfer to a local minibus to reach the destination.
