The Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling is situated on a hill surrounded by fruit trees, shaded by lush greenery in a tranquil setting. Three generations of Soong Ching Ling’s ancestors—the great-great-grandfather, great-grandfather, and grandfather—once lived here, and her father was born in this ancestral home in 1861. Later, structures such as the Soong Ching Ling Memorial Exhibition Hall and the Soong Ching Ling Botanical Garden were built on the site, and a 3.2-meter-tall white marble statue of Soong Ching Ling was erected to the north of the residence.

The current residence is a traditional local farmhouse, consisting of two main rooms, two wing rooms, two gatehouses, and surrounding walls. The exhibition hall is located within this complex. It is a classical courtyard-style building that displays historical materials, photographs, charts, paintings, and replicated artifacts related to Soong Ching Ling’s youth and revolutionary years, her efforts in the global peace movement, and the deep remembrance she received from people across the country and around the world. These historical photos and precious relics vividly and concretely showcase the illustrious life of Soong Ching Ling.
