The Fu Family Ancestral House in Wenchang is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

In Wenchang, there is an ancient residence called the Fu Family Ancestral House, which is now a protected cultural heritage site.

This building was constructed by overseas Chinese who returned to their hometown after making their fortunes. It has a very large layout and, influenced by Western culture, combines elements of rural northern Hainan residential architecture, Southeast Asian shophouse styles, and Islamic arch motifs. It’s a truly stunning old house, though somewhat desolate.

On October 7, 2019, the Fu Family Ancestral House was included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
