Lin Wenying’s Tomb is a cultural relic protection unit of Hainan Province.

Lin Wenying’s Tomb is located in Wencheng Town, Wenchang City, dating back to 1919. It is a cultural relic protection unit of Hainan Province.

Protected Area: A zone extending 11.36 meters east, 7.15 meters west, 4 meters south, and 4.77 meters north from the center point of the tomb. The total area is 134.72 square meters.

Lin Wenying (1873–1914), originally named Lin Tianze and also known by the courtesy name Gelan, was a member of the National Assembly and a native of Shipeng Village, Qinglan Town. He was born in 1873 into an overseas Chinese family in Thailand.

As a child, he studied at a Thai overseas Chinese school. After graduating from Zhonghua Middle School, he returned home to visit relatives and became engaged and married to Chen Pida, a girl from a neighboring village. In the spring of 1903, he went from Thailand to Japan to study, enrolling in the Political Science Department of Tokyo Imperial University (now the University of Tokyo). In the autumn of 1904, in Yokohama, Japan, he met Sun Yat-sen through the introduction of Liao Zhongkai. Influenced by Sun, he joined the Tongmenghui (Chinese Revolutionary Alliance).
