The Martyrs' Memorial Pavilion of the Zongru Battle is located in Wengjiao Village, Wengjiao Town. Dating back to 1958, it is categorized as a modern-era significant historical site and representative structure.

On February 11, 2018, it was designated by the People's Government of Wenchang City as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Wenchang.

Wengjiao Town: Located in the eastern part of Wenchang City, Wengjiao Town is bordered by rivers on two sides and the sea on one, making it an important hub for transportation and trade. With a population of 23,000 and covering an area of 71.5 square kilometers, its GDP in the year 2000 reached 85.1 million yuan. The town is traversed by the water-rich Wengjiao River and Beishui Stream, both of which boast abundant resources and picturesque scenery, offering ideal conditions for the development of tropical high-efficiency agriculture and tourism.
