Haikou Binhai Park

Binhai Park is located southwest of the intersection of Taihua Road and Binhai Avenue, and northwest of the Longkun Road intersection in Haikou City. Nestled by the sea and adjacent to the Financial and Trade Development Zone, it boasts convenient transportation and an exceptionally prime location. It was named Binhai Park because it faces Binhai Avenue and backs onto the sea.

Before Binhai Park began construction in 1991, the site was a beach, with the only structure being an ancient artillery battery. The entire park was built on reclaimed land. It officially opened to the public in October 1995, and the Fantasyland amusement area within the park started receiving visitors in May 1996. Covering an area of 730 mu (approximately 480,000 square meters), the park integrates horticulture, tourism, and entertainment. It is a large-scale, modern, comprehensive amusement park that is highly refined in its design, construction, and overall execution. The first phase of the project has been completed with an investment of about 150 million yuan, covering an area of approximately 200,000 square meters. The park’s main gate is a four-story structure with a construction area of about 5,763.67 square meters. It features grand Roman-style columns and a hemispherical roof, presenting a majestic and magnificent sight. Inside, there are Chinese and Western restaurants, dance halls, wedding photography services, and the Bee Kingdom. In front of the gate lies a tree-lined parking lot spanning about 2,100 square meters. The two-winged corridors extending from the gate cover an area of 7,208.1 square meters and will be developed into a comprehensive shopping mall. Within the park, 160,000 square meters of lawns have been planted, along with 9,508 trees, 6,000 square meters of flowering shrubs, as well as an artificial lake (24,573 square meters), rockeries, and fountains. The park also offers various recreational facilities such as a Peace Pigeon Square, boating activities, a Peninsula Beverage Garden, a barbecue area, and a horse-riding ground.

The amusement park within the park — Fantasyland — features over ten amusement rides, all imported from Italy and meeting international advanced standards. These include child-friendly attractions such as the Colorful Butterfly Wheel, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ride, mini train, double-decker carousel, coffee cups, slides, and bounce trampolines. For adults and young visitors seeking thrills, there are exciting rides like the Head-over-Heels Shuttle, Flying Submarine, roller coaster, bumper cars, and haunted house. Additional small mechanical rides and various Japanese-imported electronic amusement devices have been added at the main gate building. All structures adopt a European-style design. With its scenic lakes and picturesque surroundings, wandering through the park is a truly refreshing experience.
