Haikou Asian Watercolor Art Museum

The Asian Watercolor Art Museum was founded by Mr. Xue Yang, a Singaporean-Chinese entrepreneur. It aims to promote the exchange and development of watercolor art worldwide while advancing social public welfare and charitable art initiatives.

The Asian Watercolor Art Museum is China’s first professional watercolor museum that combines academic research, collection, exchange, exhibitions, and creation. Its current collection includes nearly all representative masterpieces by leading painters of various contemporary and modern Chinese schools, as well as award-winning works from national exhibitions. The academic, artistic, and historical value of these collections has established the museum’s significant position in the history of watercolor art in China and even Asia. At the same time, the museum actively engages in academic exchanges and research on the history of watercolor art. It publishes large-scale series of collected works and essay collections of great value for collection and study, and plans international and domestic touring exhibitions. These efforts have garnered widespread attention from the global watercolor art community.
