Guijiang Scenic Area

The Guijiang Ecological Tourism Scenic Area in Pingle County, Guilin, Guangxi, is located in the northeastern part of Guangxi and the southeastern part of Guilin City. It borders Zhongshan County and Hezhou to the east, Zhaoping County to the south, Lipu County to the west, and Yangshuo County and Guilin City to the northwest, with Gongcheng County to the northeast. The county covers a total area of 1,919.43 square kilometers and has a population of 430,000. The county seat, Pingle Town, is situated at the confluence of the Li River, Chajiang River (Gongcheng River), and Lijiang River (Lipu River). The Guijiang River flows from this confluence toward Zhaoping, Wuzhou, and Guangzhou. By road: the county’s second-class highway is 439 kilometers from Nanning (the capital of Guangxi), 118 kilometers from Guilin, 295 kilometers from Wuzhou, and 176 kilometers from Liuzhou. By water: the distance from the county seat to Guilin is 118 kilometers and to Wuzhou is 232 kilometers. The Guilin–Wuzhou Expressway and the Liuzhou–Pingle Expressway run through Pingle, linking southeastward to Wuzhou and Guangzhou, northward to Guilin (98 kilometers away), and westward to the Liuzhou Expressway. The area enjoys a strategic transportation hub location with highly convenient access.
