Zhangjia Ancient Tombs Cluster

The Zhangjia Ancient Tombs Cluster is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Zhangjia Ancient Tombs Cluster is located along an approximately 7-kilometer stretch from Shuguang Primary School in the southeast of Zhangjia Town to Dalin in the southeast of Hecun. Over a hundred burial mounds are visible, with more concentrated areas at Huangtouling, Daxueling, Lianhualing, Dalin, and Yanshanling.

In 1974, when the regional cultural relics team excavated tombs at Yanshanling, they discovered that the tombs were arranged in an orderly fashion, and their structure was largely similar to that of Chu tombs found in regions such as Hunan. The unearthed funerary pottery mainly included jars, pots, bottles, cups (vases), and three-legged jars (boxes); metal items mainly consisted of complete sets of bronze weapons, iron weapons, wuzhu coins (currency), and agricultural tools, totaling more than 1,530 pieces (the unearthed relics are now housed in the Guangxi Museum). Research has confirmed that these are tombs dating from the late Warring States period to the Qin and Han dynasties.
