Longtouji Dyke

Longtouji Dyke is a cultural heritage site protected by Pingle.

Longtouji Dyke is located along the Chajiang River section north of Pingle Town. Construction began in August of the Renyin year (1602) during the Ming Dynasty and was completed in April of the Guimao year (1603). Stretching 280 meters in length, 6.6 meters in height, and 2 meters in thickness, it extends from the base of a large banyan tree at the northern end of Pingle Town’s main northern street to the ferry crossing at Linggong Temple. To this day, most of the structure remains well-preserved.
