Pingle Chaotian Rock

Chaotian Rock is located to the south of Letang Village, Ertang Town, Pingle County, about 1 kilometer from Letang Village. It gets its name from the spacious cave entrance that faces the sky.

The caves inside are interconnected, with three larger outer caves covering an area of approximately 10,000 square meters. Upon reaching the cave entrance, one is greeted by a colorful "curtain." Inside the cave, lava flows have formed what look like "fields," and the area is scattered with exquisitely shaped rocks. Some resemble scholars engrossed in study; some look like warriors wielding swords in practice; others resemble the Eight Immortals displaying their magical powers; some look like pot-bellied Buddhas; there are also those that resemble squirrels with tails sticking up, turtles racing against each other, and rabbits poised to leap. The cave is filled with stalagmites standing like a forest—some look like corn cobs, some like pumpkins, some like snow lotuses, and some like dragon pillars. Even more uniquely, there is a stone arch bridge in the cave shaped like a half-moon, lying across the peaks. Water droplets patter on the bridge, while streams gurgle beneath it, making for a truly bizarre and fascinating scene full of wonder.
