Bare rocks in their natural hues, crimson streams flowing through the valley — the winding water transforms into pools, bends, and waterfalls as the terrain shifts, creating ever-changing scenery that dazzles at every turn. Dongxing Pingfeng Rainforest Park is a national AAAA-level scenic area, located in Pingfeng Village, Malu Town, Dongxing City.

The stream in Dongxing Pingfeng Rainforest Park meanders down from Luohua Mountain, which stands over 900 meters above sea level, cascading and tumbling along the way. The valley bed consists entirely of pristine granite, polished smooth over centuries by flowing water, revealing the stones’ natural colors — deep red as blood. The stream morphs into pools, bends, and waterfalls as the terrain changes; lush groves of trees and bamboo line both sides of the valley, while wildflowers dot the rugged cliffs and strange vines and trees peek out. The scenery is ever-changing and breathtakingly beautiful. Pingfeng Rainforest Park now features two rafting routes — “Carefree Drift” and “Warrior Drift” — as well as an observation trail for the Shimen Valley waterfall. Additionally, go-karting and a hot spring resort have been successively opened to visitors since 2012.
