The former site of the Daqing Mountain Uprising is a cultural relic protection unit of Longzhou County and a classic red tourism destination.

The former site of the Daqing Mountain Uprising is located in the Daqing Mountain Sub-farm of the Pioneer Farm, Xianfeng Farm, Binqiao Township, Longzhou Town, Longzhou County. Constructed in 1933, it was originally the “Longzhou Forest Farm” in Daqing Mountain operated by the Kuomintang. It is a two-story wooden structure building with a hard mountain-style roof and mud-packed walls, featuring three bays, a width of 18.2 meters, a depth of 18.4 meters, a height of 7.9 meters, an eaves height of 4.1 meters, covering a land area of 293.32 square meters, with a built-up area of approximately 400 square meters. In 1947, the CPC Zujiang Working Committee led the Daqing Mountain Uprising here, capturing the puppet farm manager, the head of the forest police, and over ten forest police officers. The Daqing Mountain Uprising marked the transition from covert to open armed struggle for the revolution in the Zujiang region during the War of Liberation. Following the victory of the uprising, the CPC Zujiang Working Committee established a revolutionary base centered around Daqing Mountain. On May 24, 1986, it was designated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit of Longzhou County.

In 221 BC, after Emperor Qin Shi Huang unified China, Longzhou was under the jurisdiction of the Xiang Commandery. Over the past two thousand years, Longzhou has undergone several name changes, and it was officially established as Longzhou in the fourth year of the Wude era of the Tang Dynasty (621 AD).
