The Longzhou (Shuilong-Fucha) Red Army Road Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a classic red tourism site.

The Longzhou (Shuilong–Fucha) Red Army Road Scenic Area is located in Shuilong Village, Shanglong Village, Shanglong Township, 12 kilometers from downtown Longzhou. The scenic area borders Fucha Village to the north, Nongnong Village to the south, Banlong Village to the east, and Huangtian Village to the west, covering an area of approximately 25 hectares. It features the ancient horse caravan route used by Longzhou to connect with the outside world, which was once a key thoroughfare from the old Longzhou city to other provinces. The surviving section of the road stretches 5 kilometers in length. During 1929, revolutionaries such as Deng Xiaoping and Li Mingrui traveled this road multiple times between Longzhou and Baise in preparation for the Longzhou Uprising. They also held the Shuilong Rebellion Suppression Meeting here, laying a solid foundation for the uprising. In the years following the uprising, to consolidate the revolutionary gains, the First Column of the Eighth Red Army set out from this road to suppress bandits in areas such as Daxin, Jingxi, and Xiadeng. To commemorate the Longzhou Uprising and the arduous years of the revolution, the people of Longzhou named this road the “Red Army Road.”

Currently, the Longzhou (Shuilong–Fucha) Red Army Road Scenic Area features attractions such as the “Red Army Road,” the site of the Shuilong Meeting, the “Drinking Horse Beach” where the great leader Deng Xiaoping once stopped to rest his horse, one of the “Eight Ancient Scenes of Longzhou” known as the “Ancient Zeng Longquan Spring,” and Fucha Village—an important stop along the ancient northwest road of old Longzhou.

The Longzhou (Shuilong-Fucha) Red Army Road Scenic Area is located 15 kilometers northwest of downtown Longzhou. The area boasts beautiful natural scenery and is home to the “Ancient Zeng Longquan Spring,” one of the “Eight Ancient Scenes of Longzhou,” as well as being an important stop along the old northwest road of Longzhou. The ancient horse caravan route, a vital transportation artery connecting Longzhou with the outside world, starts in Shuilong and extends 4.8 kilometers across mountains to Fucha Village in Xinlian Village (the former horse caravan station of old Longzhou), then continues to Zhubo, Baowei, Jingxi, and Baise, serving as a strategic gateway from Longzhou to other provinces. The development of the scenic area will leverage its existing advantages and align with tourism market demands, planning to focus on three major themes: red tourism, folk culture, and natural scenery. In October 2017, it was rated as a national 3A-level tourist attraction.
