Yongji Wulao Peak Cableway

Wulao Peak was originally known as Wulao Mountain. Here, layered peaks and dense ancient trees cover the entire mountainous area with a rich variety of life. With flowers in bloom and green grass, the scenic views of mountains and waters are extraordinarily enchanting, hence the saying, "In the north, visit the temples at Wutai; in the south, enjoy the scenery at Wulao." Looking southwest, visitors can see four peaks appearing like immortal figures, emerging and vanishing in the vast misty clouds, encircling Yuzhu Peak, which stands at an altitude of 1809.3 meters. The peaks are described as having a "stooped and bending posture," resembling five elderly people cupping their hands in a respectful bow to welcome honored guests. The main peak, Yuzhu Peak, features cliffs as sheer as if cut by a knife, shaped like a jade pillar that soars straight into the sky. It is also known as "Cloud Peak" or "Spirit Peak." To reach Yuzhu Peak, visitors must cross an over 80-meter-long thrilling iron cable suspension bridge. The top of the peak has a flat area of more than 3,000 square meters, higher in the north and lower in the south, featuring seven major cultural attractions: South Heaven Gate, Lingguan Temple, Jade Emperor Hall, Xiushi Hall, and Qianzi Hall.
