It is situated near Sanmen River in the southwestern part of Luzhai County, facing Liuzhou City across the river. The mountain features steep, rugged terrain covered in lush greenery, offering captivating scenery. On June 14 of the 11th year of the Chongzhen era in the Ming Dynasty (June 14, 1638), the traveler Xu Xiake traveled from Luorong to Sanmen River. After crossing the river, he looked back eastward and was struck by the exceptional beauty and grandeur of Guting Mountain, praising it with the words “branches divide, trunks rise tall — gracefully revealing their wonder.” Today, Guting Mountain is even more picturesque. In early spring, azaleas bloom brilliantly, birds sing in chorus, pine trees grow thick and green, and the grass is lush and carpet-like. In midsummer, the shade is dense, springs murmur softly, cool breezes blow, and birds chirp cheerfully. In 1984, a mountain road was built winding up the slopes, followed by the construction of a microwave station and television transmission tower in Guangxi.
