Rongshui Ethnic Sports Park

Rongshui Ethnic Sports Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Rongshui Ethnic Sports Park, initially built in 2007 and renovated in 2012, had a total investment of 30.5 million yuan. The athletic field covers an area of 15,531 m², with 4,703 m² of landscaped turf. The front gate, podium, and the base of the surrounding oval stands are constructed with concrete frame structures, while the tops feature wooden structures. The design fully incorporates the essence of Miao ethnic architecture, highlighting features such as stilted construction, upturned eaves on pavilion ridges, carved railings, and green-tiled roofing, all rich in ethnic architectural and cultural significance. The park includes a football field, a standard 400-meter plastic track with eight curves and ten straights, as well as facilities for high jump, long jump, and other sports. With its novel and majestic overall design, it has been vividly likened to the "Bird’s Nest" of the Miao Mountains and is one of the iconic buildings of the autonomous county. It can accommodate approximately 25,000 spectators.

The main venue serves as a central hub for sports events, large-scale cultural activities, and leisure fitness. The concept of fitness for all is increasingly embraced in Rongshui, with various football and track-and-field events held here. The Miao, Yao, Dong, and Zhuang ethnic groups of the autonomous county have, throughout history, created not only material prosperity but also a rich spiritual culture, with profound traditions in ethnic and folk heritage. The county regularly hosts major cultural events at the main venue, including the Miao Lusheng Grand Dance, Lusheng New Year Celebrations, Miao Drum Ceremonies, and Flower Cannon Competitions. These events play a positive role in preserving and promoting ethnic culture, safeguarding the community's spiritual heritage, and advancing the development of ethnic tourism.
