The Ancient City of Linhe is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Ancient City of Linhe is located in Hejie Town and was first built in the sixth year of the Yuanding era of the Western Han Dynasty, which is 111 BC. The ancient city includes four city sites—Jiuxian Du, Zhouwei, Hexi Ancient City, and Hedong Ancient City—as well as six large ancient tomb clusters, two temples, and one military camp from the Song Dynasty. It houses a wealth of locally distinctive ancient architecture, including temples, ancestral halls, criminal courts, government offices, charitable granaries, guildhalls, Confucian temples, stone-paved streets, ancient wells, residences, docks, and water gates. The ancient city has a clear historical timeline, a long continuity, and rich cultural significance. It is the only well-preserved historical ancient city among the four major Western Han Dynasty city sites discovered in Guangxi.

Guangxi Hezhou City

Hejie Town: Located in the central part of Babu District, Hejie Town covers a total area of 377 square kilometers and governs 24 village committees and 3 community neighborhood committees. In 2005, the town had a total population of 64,000, making it a key town in Guangxi.

Hejie Town has a long history, numerous historical sites, and abundant produce. It is a renowned ancient town and a production base for vegetables and fruits both within and outside Guangxi. For over two thousand years, from the sixth year of the Yuanding era of the Western Han Dynasty (111 BC) to 1952, Hejie Town served as the seat of government for the Linhe County, Linhe Commandery, Linqing Kingdom, Hezhou, and He County.
