Shijiazhuang Museum

Shijiazhuang Museum is located at No. 65 Jianshe North Street, Shijiazhuang City. The museum opened on November 12, 1991, the 44th anniversary of the liberation of Shijiazhuang. It has a construction area of 6,292 square meters, including five exhibition halls covering 2,519 square meters, a multi-functional hall, as well as storage for cultural relics and a lecture hall. The museum houses 8,152 cultural relics, including 240 first- and second-grade relics. The collection mainly consists of paintings, calligraphy, and stone rubbings, along with some ceramics, metalwork, stone artifacts, bronzes, and jade objects. The relics were transferred to Shijiazhuang after its liberation in 1947 by central government agencies, the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region, and the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region, representing an important cultural asset preserved through great hardship during the war years.

In 1988, with the approval of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Government, Shijiazhuang Museum was established at No. 65 Jianshe North Street. It covers a land area of 4,750 square meters and a construction area of 6,292 square meters. The building has three floors, with eight exhibition halls and one cultural relics warehouse. Additional facilities include a lecture hall, video room, multi-functional hall, reception room, and meeting rooms. The square in front of the museum can host large-scale public cultural events.

Since its opening, the museum has successfully hosted several influential exhibitions, such as "A Hundred Paintings of Poetry," "Today's Israel Photography Exhibition," "Taiwan Palace Museum Collection (Reproductions) Exhibition," "NATO Bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Yugoslavia Photo Exhibition," and "China · Shijiazhuang Folk Culture Exhibition." It has also organized hundreds of art exhibitions, calligraphy and painting shows, and photography exhibitions.

Transportation: Take bus routes 1, 2, 5, 201, 26, 10, 12, 35, 34, 106, Tourist Route 1, or Tourist Route 2 in Shijiazhuang City, and get off at Chang’an Park Station.
