Longfeng Lake

Longfeng Lake is located at the foot of the historic Fenglong Mountain, 15 kilometers southwest of Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province. It lies 20 kilometers north of Baodu Village and 50 kilometers west of Cangyan Mountain, serving as the center of a renowned scenic tourism area. To its north bank is Qinglong Mountain and to its south is Phoenix Mountain, forming the landscape of “two mountains embracing a lake,” hence the name “Longfeng Lake.”

Longfeng Lake derives its charm from the mountains and its name from the water. The lake covers an area of 600 mu (approximately 40 hectares), with crystal-clear, emerald-green waters stretching into the distance. Qinglong Mountain stands at an elevation of 266.7 meters, tall and graceful, featuring spectacular sights such as Qinglong Field, the Wind-moving Stone, Dragon Horn Stone, and the Stone Turtle Carrying Its Young. The Qinglong Pavilion and Wangshi Pavilion offer visitors spots to rest, where they can gaze westward at the mountain ranges or eastward at the provincial capital — a truly refreshing experience. Phoenix Mountain has an elevation of 197 meters. Resembling a colorful phoenix about to take flight, it is especially exquisite in beauty. Legend has it that Mu Guiying, the heroine of the Northern Song Dynasty, once set up camp here, leaving behind many beautiful tales.

The main peak of Qinglong Mountain rises 266.7 meters above sea level, with a long history and a northwest-southeast orientation, resembling a giant dragon playing with the lake — a truly magnificent sight. The mountain features natural attractions such as the Dragon Horn Stone, the Wind-moving Stone, the Mini Stone Forest, and the Stone Turtle Carrying Its Young. Phoenix Mountain, with an elevation of 197 meters, has a main peak flanked on both the north and south sides by smaller peaks that cling closely to it, resembling wings. Viewed from afar, the mountain looks like a colorful phoenix ready to soar, exuding exceptional beauty and vitality. Longfeng Lake spans a water area of over 400,000 square meters. From a distance, its sapphire waters blend seamlessly with the blue sky, creating an expansive, misty view; up close, its shimmering surface ripples gently under the sunlight.
